Seminar: How do you improve an award winning data centre?
Hosted by: Keysource and Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS)
Date: 2nd April 2014
Venue: Mercedes-Benz World’s Theatre Suite, Brooklands, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 0SL
Structure: Seminar at Mercedes-Benz World followed by Data Centre tour at PGS
Time: 9am – 12.30pm or 1pm (we may extend this to an afternoon session if needed)
Would you like to see how PGS and Keysource have achieved even better performance than planned from its upgrade of what was already one of the UK’s most energy efficient and technologically advanced data centres?
With the 2nd phase going live in March 2014, this show case facility at Weybridge, Surrey was accredited with four industry recognised awards for innovation and the environment when first launched in 2008. But rather than repeating the same successful formulae Keysource and PGS wanted to go further. A newly completed upgrade with Keysource has surpassed its original design goals:
• 50% more power against the original design
• Rack power densities up to 30kW
• Even greater efficiency - from an existing annualised PUE figure of just 1.15 to 1.15-1.1
• Increased IT capacity from 600kW scalable to 2.7MW (originally planned for 1.8MW)
• Chillerless ‘indirect’ free cooling
• All within the same internal footprint
This seminar and data centre tour will reveal details of the design and construction, and unveil efficiency strategies that could save you up to 45% on your energy bills whilst still supporting high density IT loads with high levels of resilience.
Who will benefit from this seminar?
Data Centre Operators, IT Managers, Facilities Managers and Estate Directors planning a new facility or wanting to improve their existing data centre. Companies needing to reduce their electricity consumption in IT or Financial Directors looking to reduce OPEX costs will also benefit from attending.
Registration is open to senior IT, Data Centre, Energy, Financial or Facilities Managers who are planning a new data centre build or refreshing essential infrastructure in the next 18 months.
