Google has recently revealed it will buy the entire electricity output of four new wind farms in Sweden to support its data centre operations in Hamina, Finland. The move follows a similar deal, announced last year, in which Google purchased the entire 10-year electricity output of a Swedish wind farm.
“We pride ourselves on our ability to provide world-class data centre solutions that are environmentally intelligent and energy efficient. Therefore, it is refreshing to see a company the size of Google recognises the importance of a green data centre strategy.”
