June 2013: Lack of centralised monitoring still hampering data centre optimisation

Many data centres could be failing to optimise performance by failing to centralise monitoring, management and intelligent capacity planning of critical systems according to a recent survey from Keysource. It found that whilst almost three quarters of decision makers and influencers are now familiar with Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) there is still a long way to go before the adoption of this integrated approach to management and monitoring becomes widespread.
